Cynthia-Jeanette Mancilla

Hi, my name is Cynthia-Jeanette Mancilla. I am an incoming sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley. I intend to major in Geophysics and minor in Chemical Engineering. On campus I am part of Hermanas Unidas and the Prisoners Literature Project. These organizations focus on the recognition of minority communities as well as the encouragement of higher education in these communities, which is something that I am highly passionate about. I am excited to be part of Team Zaaga’igan this summer because the research that we will conduct directly correlates with my future research plans. I plan to attend graduate school to attain a Masters in Physical Science. Furthermore, I hope to gain valuable experience this summer that will aid in my undergraduate career.
